This course provides students with a basic knowledge of the main concepts and principles of macroeconomics, properly framed by current developments at the global and national levels. This course intends also to provide students with an understanding of the basic mechanisms of policy making in a macroeconomic context. The curricular unit resorts to the traditional theoretical tools, discussing their relevance and empirical uses.
