This curricular unit aims to address the fundamentals of the process of attracting, developing and retaining human resources that are essential to achieve the goals of organizations. It also seeks to emphasize the importance of human resources function in creating sustainable competitive advantages. Finally, it aims to develop conceptual and analytical skills in students so that they can participate in the activities of human resource management in organizations. At the end of this curricular unit, students should be able to:
- Identify how human resources can contribute to organizational success;
- Have an overview of the human resources function and its interdependencies with other functions;
- Apply in a contingent way human resource management methodologies and techniques to address specific issues in each organization;
- Understand in an integrated manner the various practices of human resource management.
