It is intended to familiarize the student with the essential aspects of international trade and discuss the key issues inherent in the process of European integration. Thus, the aim is to give students a set of relevant knowledge about the situation, the progress and future challenges of economic integration process which has involved a substantial part of continental Europe and whose impact has extended well beyond the of strictly economic sphere. It is about, therefore, analyzing and discussing issues whose relevance is important on the process participants, particularly on the Portuguese economy.
